The Ballard football team let a 25-10 fourth quarter lead slip away to district leading Norwalk on Friday night and fell to the Warriors 40-32 in double overtime. The Bomber's running game shredded the Warrior's defense to the tune of 342 yards on 57 carries and 4 touchdowns. Connor Drew had 121 yards on 17 carries and two touchdowns. Reece Huen had 120 yards on 15 carries and a touchdown. Skyler Noftsger had 20 carries for 101 yards and a touchdown. Kegan Odden had five catches for 51 yards. Drew was 6 of 14 passing throwing for 85 yards. With the win, Norwalk secured a playoff spot.
Mason Murphy led the Bombers with 10.5 tackles and Sam Peterson had 9.5
With the loss, the Bombers fall to 4-4 (1-3) on the season.
The Bombers are back in action on Friday, October 19 when they host North Polk. The freshman game will kick off at 4:45 PM and the varsity will kick off at 7:30 PM.
