Bombers Send Three To State

The Ballard wrestling team advanced three wrestlers to the State Wrestling Tournament on Saturday at the District Wrestling Meet in Adel.  Skyler Noftsger was the Bombers only district champion.  Joe Hofbauer and Gage Long each were runner-ups.  Those three will advance to the state tournament.  Alex Bangs, Jim Chism, and Mason Askelsen each finished third to end their seasons.  District qualifier, Reese Broer had to be removed from the competition due to an illness.

The Bombers are back in action on Thursday - February 14 when they wrestle at the State Wrestling Tournament in Des Moines.  The 2A session will be session #3 and begin at 6:00 PM.  To view the State Wrestling Tournament schedule CLICK here.
