Pitching Shuts Down Cats; Bombers Win
Ballard Defeats Carlisle 8-2
Jaxon Hermann pitched six strong innings, scattering two hits in the Bombers' 8-2 win over Carlisle at Nite Hawk Field on Wednesday. Hermann struck out three and walked two, showcasing his control on the mound.
Eli Rouse led the offense, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a double. Hermann also contributed at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double.
This win brings the Bombers' season record to 2-3 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
The Bombers will be back in action on Thursday, May 23, traveling to Boone in a Raccoon River Conference contest. Junior varsity will start at 5:00 PM, followed by varsity.
