Dancers Shine at Grinnell Dance Competition
Wins Multiple Awards
The Ballard Dance Team put on an impressive performance at the Grinnell Dance Competition, taking home several top awards, including a 1st place finish in the Pom routine at "The Dance Challenge" regional competition. Their polished choreography and high-energy routine captivated both the audience and the judges, earning them the top spot.
In addition to the team's success, individual dancers also excelled in solo categories. Nora Doolittle earned 1st place in Jazz, showcasing her talent and technical skill. The Contemporary category was dominated by Ballard dancers, with Avaree Smith placing 3rd, Elin Watson securing 2nd, and Laurel Schroeder claiming 1st.
Watson also received special recognition, earning a Judges' Choice Award for her outstanding performance. Her solo skills didn't stop there, as she also placed 3rd overall in the solo division, while Schroeder took home an impressive 2nd overall.
The Ballard Dance Team's strong showing at the competition highlighted their hard work and dedication, making it a memorable day for the dancers and their supporters.
