Bio
Coach Jessica Martin brings a wealth of experience in competitive dance, coaching, and choreography to the Ballard Dance program. Originally from Round Rock, Texas, she trained and competed at an elite level in a variety of dance styles before earning her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia.
After relocating to Ames in 2022, Coach Martin completed her Master of Education degree while working full-time at Iowa State University. During that time, she served as the head coach of the Ames High School Varsity Dance Team for two years and also led the Ames Middle School Spirit Squad, helping student-athletes grow both as performers and leaders.
In addition to her coaching experience, Coach Martin teaches at Bold Dance by Peach and remains actively involved with dance programs across Iowa through judging, consulting, and creating award-winning choreography. Her passion for dance, commitment to excellence, and extensive leadership experience make her a valuable addition to the Ballard Dance program.
Coach Martin is excited to join the Bomber community and looks forward to working with Ballard's talented dancers while helping continue the tradition of excellence within the program.
