Bomber's Defense Key In Win Over Mustangs
Ballard Defeats Dallas Center-Grimes 24-0
The Ballard football team's defense hunkered down in their 24-0 win over Dallas Center-Grimes on Friday night at Richard Strouse Field.
Senior Chance Lande would have three interceptions on the night. Lande would return one of the interceptions for a touchdown. Jackson Wacha had 15 tackles on the night and Jack Nelson had 12.5 tackles. Brody Sampson added 9.5.
Quarterback Mason Gatchel was 11 of 20 passing for 127 yards and a touchdown. Eli Rouse had 21 carries for 124 yards and a touchdown and a 2-point conversion. Lande had four receptions for 89 yards and a touchdown and Rhett Hedrick had three catches for 11 yards.
With the win, the Bombers improve to 2-2 (0-0) on the season.
The Bombers are back in action on Friday - September 22 when they travel to Indianola for district play. The game will kick off at 7:00 PM.
