Bombers Dominate Bluejays in Conference Matchup
Ballard Defeats Bondurant-Farrar 62-24
The Ballard men's basketball team delivered a dominant performance in their conference opener, defeating Bondurant-Farrar 62-24 on Friday night. The Bombers set the tone early, outscoring the Bluejays 17-11 in the first quarter. They turned up the intensity in the second, holding Bondurant-Farrar to just three points while adding 19 of their own to build a commanding 36-14 lead at halftime. The second half was more of the same, with Ballard's defense limiting the Bluejays to only 10 points while the Bombers' offense continued to execute efficiently.
Sophomore Parker Miller was a standout performer, shooting a perfect 3-for-3 from the field, grabbing nine rebounds, and dishing out five assists. Senior Jackson Brown led all scorers with 15 points, including three three-pointers, while also contributing two rebounds and two assists. Junior Jude Gibson added 13 points, four rebounds, and two steals, while junior Easton Ersland chipped in seven points, six rebounds, and three steals to bolster the Bombers' strong defensive effort.
Ballard's depth and teamwork were evident as the team collectively pulled down 40 rebounds and forced 11 steals to fuel their transition game.
The Bombers, now 2-0 overall and 1-0 in conference play, will look to maintain their momentum when they host Boone on Tuesday, December 10, at 7:30 PM.
