Bombers Pick Up Win Over Toreadors
Ballard Defeats Boone 89-57
The Ballard men's basketball team extended their unbeaten streak with a dominant 89-57 victory over Boone in a Raccoon River Conference matchup on Tuesday night. The Bombers set the tone early, racing out to a 27-9 lead in the first quarter behind relentless offense and stifling defense. While Boone responded with a strong second quarter, scoring 22 points to cut into the lead, Ballard maintained control and entered halftime with a comfortable 47-31 advantage.
In the second half, the Bombers left no doubt about the outcome, outscoring Boone 23-14 in the third quarter and finishing with a 19-point fourth quarter. Their balanced attack and high-energy play were too much for Boone to handle, as Ballard improved to 11-0 overall and 10-0 in conference play.
The Bombers will look to keep their perfect record intact when they return to their home court on Friday, January 24, to face North Polk in another pivotal conference matchup at 7:30 PM.
