Balanced Attack and Tough Defense Fuel Bombers Over Carroll
Ballard Defeats Carroll 57-41
The Ballard men's basketball team continued its unbeaten run Tuesday night at Carroll, pulling away for a 57–41 victory in an RRC contest.
The Bombers set the tone early, building a 17–10 lead after the first quarter and extending the margin to 33–21 at halftime. Ballard's defense remained the difference throughout the night, limiting Carroll to single-digit scoring in two quarters and preventing any sustained runs.
Carroll attempted to rally in the third quarter, but Ballard responded with steady execution on both ends of the floor. The Bombers outscored the Tigers 10–9 in the period and maintained control heading into the final quarter. Ballard then closed out the game with a 14–11 advantage in the fourth to secure the 16-point win.
The effort improved Ballard's record to 8–0 overall and 7–0 in RRC play, keeping them atop the conference standings.
Ballard will look to remain perfect on Saturday when the Bombers face Williamsburg at 1:00 PM at Xtream Arena in Coralville.
