Fast Start Powers Bombers Past Bluejays
Ballard Defeats Bondurant-Farrar 69-24
The Ballard men's basketball team delivered a dominant performance Friday night in the Hangar, rolling past Raccoon River Conference opponent Bondurant-Farrar by a 69–24 final to remain unbeaten on the season.
Ballard set the tone early, overwhelming the Bluejays with pressure defense and efficient scoring to open a 25–9 lead after the first quarter. The Bombers continued to control the pace in the second period, outscoring Bondurant-Farrar 23–5 to take a commanding 48–14 advantage into halftime.
Defensively, Ballard limited Bondurant-Farrar to single-digit scoring in three of the four quarters, holding the Bluejays to just 24 total points on the night. After a quieter third quarter, the Bombers closed the game strong with a 14–2 fourth-quarter run, putting an emphatic finish on the conference matchup.
With the win, Ballard improves to 11–0 overall and 9–0 in Raccoon River Conference play, continuing a strong start to the season.
The Bombers will be back in action on Saturday, January 17, hosting a non-conference contest against Nevada. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 PM in the Hangar.
