Men's Golf Edges Out Win at Home Quad Meet

AMES — On a crisp spring afternoon at Veenker Golf Course, the Ballard men's golf team made the most of home-course advantage, grinding out a hard-fought win against a competitive field of four teams. The Bombers posted a team score of 320, edging out Independence (322), Nevada (323), and Waverly-Shell Rock (327) in a tightly contested meet.
Brenden Wright led the charge for Ballard with a steady round of 73, earning runner-up medalist honors on the day. Wright's consistency and poise were a difference-maker on the challenging Veenker layout.
Jamin Colvin turned in a strong round of 79, followed closely by Mason Gatchel with an 82. Parker Domino (86), Alex Weeks (89), and Lincoln Miller (90) rounded out the Bombers' varsity scores, contributing to the team's overall depth and success.
The narrow margin of victory highlights the depth and resilience of Ballard's squad, which continues to build momentum as the postseason approaches.
