Colvin’s Record Round Leads Bombers
Ballard Shoots A 290
AMES, Iowa — Ballard men's golf delivered a statement performance at the Nevada Tournament, posting a team score of 290 to run away from the field at Veenker Golf Course. Ballard finished well ahead of Nevada (332), Grandview Christian (351), and West Marshall (352), showcasing both depth and elite play at the top of the lineup.
Leading the charge was Jamin Colvin, who turned in a historic round of 68 (-4), setting a new school record and earning medalist honors. Colvin's round was highlighted by consistent ball striking and clutch putting, separating him from the field on a challenging Veenker layout. Not far behind was teammate Alex Weeks, who fired an impressive 70 (-2) to claim runner-up honors. The duo set the tone early and never let up, giving Ballard a commanding edge throughout the meet.
Ballard returns to action Monday, April 13, traveling to Carroll for a 4:00 PM meet.
