Bombers Take First at Woodward-Granger Invite
Ballard Shoots A 279
The Ballard Bombers men's golf team turned in an outstanding performance Thursday, capturing first place at the Woodward-Granger Tournament with a team score of 279.
Ballard separated itself from a strong field, finishing 15 strokes ahead of second-place North Polk (294) and 17 clear of ADM (296).
Sophomore Jamin Colvin paced Ballard with a stellar round of 68 (-2), earning a share of medalist honors for the tournament. Junior Parker Domino was right behind with an excellent 69 (-1), while Kolby Robinson and Drake Hosteng each fired 71 (+1) rounds to strengthen the Bombers' team total.
Ballard's consistency across the board proved to be the difference, as all four scoring rounds finished at 71 or better. Alex Weeks added a solid 75 (+5), and Riley Dingel carded a 76 (+6) to round out a dominant day for the Bombers.
Ballard returns to action Monday, April 20, at Des Moines Christian with an 11:00 AM start.
