Five in Top 15 Lead Bombers to Victory

The Ballard men's golf team delivered a strong and steady performance Tuesday at the Des Moines Christian meet, held at the Des Moines Golf and Country Club, capturing the team title with a score of 323 (+35). In a tightly contested finish, the Bombers edged Des Moines Christian by just one stroke (324), with Gilbert (328) and Nevada (343) rounding out the field.
Ballard's depth proved to be the difference, placing five golfers inside the top 15. Parker Domino led the way with a 79 (+7), finishing fifth overall. Close behind were Jamin Colvin and Alex Weeks, who each carded rounds of 80 (+8) to tie for sixth and seventh.
Riley Dingel added an 84 (+12), while Drake Hosteng shot an 85 (+13) to round out the scoring effort for the Bombers. Kolby Robinson also contributed with a 90.
Gilbert's Johnny Bouska earned medalist honors with an even-par 72.
Ballard returns to action Tuesday, April 21, when they host ADM, Earlham, Independence, Nevada, and Waverly-Shell Rock at Veenker Golf Course with a 12:00 PM start.
