RRC Kings: Bombers Cruise to Conference Crown
Ballard Shoots A 294
The Ballard men's golf delivered a dominant performance Monday at the Raccoon River Conference Tournament at Veenker Memorial Golf Course, capturing the conference championship with an impressive team score of 294.
The Bombers finished well ahead of runner-up North Polk (315) and third-place ADM (318).
Junior Parker Domino led the charge for Ballard with a remarkable round of 68, earning individual medalist honors and pacing one of the top team performances in the conference this year. Domino's round featured consistent play throughout the day and helped separate the Bombers from the rest of the field.
Sophomore Jamin Colvin added a strong 73 to finish tied for second overall, while freshman Jordan Domino carded a 75 to take fourth place individually. Senior Drake Hosteng finished eighth with a 78, and junior Riley Dingel added a 79 to place ninth overall, giving Ballard five golfers inside the top 10.
Junior Alex Weeks also contributed a solid round of 82 for the Bombers.
Ballard's depth and consistency were on full display throughout the tournament, with every scoring golfer finishing 79 or better.
With the conference championship now complete, Ballard turns its attention to postseason play. The Bombers will compete Wednesday, May 13, at the sectional tournament in Oskaloosa beginning at 10:00 AM.
