Men’s Soccer Edges Closer, But Broncos Prevails
Wright County Defeats Ballard 2-1
The Ballard men's soccer team showed resilience and fight but came up just short in a 2–1 loss to Wright County on Tuesday night. Wright County struck early, netting two first-half goals to take control of the match. Ballard found itself on its heels in the opening 40 minutes, working to adjust to Wright County's attacking pressure and pace.
Coming out of halftime, Ballard responded with renewed energy and intensity. The Bombers tightened up defensively and began creating more opportunities in the attacking third. Their persistence paid off with a second-half goal that cut the deficit to 2–1 and shifted momentum.
Despite continued pressure and a handful of chances late in the match, Ballard was unable to find the equalizer.
Ballard now moves to 0-2-0 on the season.
Up Next: The Bombers hit the road on Monday, April 6, as they travel to Gilbert for a 5:30 PM kickoff.
