Tigers Top Bombers on the Road
Gilbert Defeats Ballard 2-0
The Ballard men's soccer team traveled to Gilbert Monday night for a conference matchup at the RRC, falling 2-0 to the Tigers.
After a scoreless first half, the Bombers showed strong defensive organization and composure, limiting Gilbert's opportunities and keeping the match level at the break. Ballard's back line and goalkeeper effort highlighted a gritty opening 40 minutes against a quality opponent.
Gilbert broke through in the second half, scoring twice to take control of the match. Despite continued effort and energy from Ballard, the Bombers were unable to find the equalizer.
Ballard drops to 0-3-0 overall and 0-1-0 in conference play.
The Bombers will look to regroup quickly as they return to action Tuesday, April 7, traveling to Van Meter. Varsity is set to kick off at 4:30 PM, followed by the junior varsity.
