Tough Night in Attack as Bombers Fall at Home
#9 Bondurant-Farrar Defeats Ballard 2-0
HUXLEY — Ballard couldn't find its rhythm offensively Monday night, dropping a 2-0 decision to Raccoon River Conference opponent Bondurant-Farrar.
The visitors struck once in each half, capitalizing on key moments to control the match. Bondurant-Farrar opened the scoring in the first half, taking advantage of a breakdown in the back line to grab a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.
Ballard looked to respond after the break, generating a handful of chances, but couldn't convert in the final third. Bondurant-Farrar added an insurance goal in the second half, sealing the result and keeping the Bombers off the scoreboard.
With the result, Ballard moves to 5-5-0 overall and 4-2-0 in conference play.
The Bombers will look to bounce back Tuesday, May 5, when they host RRC foe North Polk with kickoff set for 5:30 PM.
