Strong Week For Tennis Program
The Ballard men's tennis team stayed busy this past week with a series of competitive matches, highlighted by a strong performance at the Saydel Tournament on Saturday.
On Monday, Ballard took on Norwalk and came away with an impressive 7-4 victory. In singles play, Emmett Miller, Isaiah Zeigler, Rex Olsan, Seth Hilleman, and Eli Preston all picked up important wins to set the tone early. The Bombers also dominated in doubles, with the teams of Miller/Zeigler, Zack Ross/Braden Kubichek, and Johan Nop/Chase Krogman all earning victories.
Later that evening, Ballard faced a tough Johnston squad and fell 11-0.
The team bounced back in a big way on Saturday at the Saydel Tournament, claiming the overall team title. Miller and Zeigler captured the doubles championship, while Rex Olsan finished second and Easton Ersland took third in singles play. The doubles team of Hilleman and Preston added a fifth-place finish to help secure the team win.
Now sitting at 5-2 on the season, the Bombers will look to keep their momentum going when they host Boone on Tuesday, April 29, at 4:15 PM.
