Bombers Grind Out Victory Over Bluejays
Ballard Defeats Bondurant-Farrar 41-32
The women's basketball team grinded out a home victory over a gritty Bondurant-Farrar team on Friday night 41-32. Both teams would struggle shooting with both defenses working hard to shut down each others offenses. The difference in the game was the Bombers hitting 14 of 19 freethrows.
The Bombers were led by Molly Ihle and Brooke Loewe who each scored 10 points. Ihle recorded a double-double adding 10 rebounds. Maggie Larson and Josie Fleischmann each had 8 points for the Bombers. Bondurant-Farrar's Avery Fried had 10 points for the Bluejays.
With the win, the Bombers improve to 6-1 (3-0) on the season.
The Bombers are back in action on Friday, January 3 when they host #1 North Polk in a non-conference match-up. The games will feature the freshman, junior varsity, and varsity women starting at 4:30 PM.
