Fleischmann, Ihle Lead Bombers Over Cubs
Ballard Defeats Nevada 47-34
The women's basketball team overcame a sluggish start and defeated Nevada 47-34 on Saturday afternoon in Huxley. The Bombers would lean on their defense to help ignite the offense. The Bombers had 16 steals and 3 blocks in the game.
Josie Fleischmann led the Bombers with 14 points. Molly Ihle had 11 points for the Bombers and had 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Brooke Loewe and Meg Rietz each added 7 points for the Bombers who ran their current win streak to 8 games.
With the win, the Bombers improve to 8-1 (3-0) on the season.
The Bombers are back in action on Tuesday, January 7 when they travel to Carlisle for a Raccoon River Conference match-up. The women will tip off at 6:00 PM
