3-Point Blitz Carries Bombers
Ballard Defeats Carlisle 64-30
The women's basketball team used a combination of smoothering defense and drilled thirteen 3-pointers in their 64-30 victory over Carlisle Tuesday night in Carlisle. The Bombers forced the Wildcats into 18 turnovers which led to many easy scoring opportunites The Bombers were 13 of 23 (56%) from 3-point range and took a 23-point lead at halftime and would cruise the second half to the 34 point win.
Brooke Loewe led the Bombers in scoring. She had 16 points on the night and hit four 3-pointers. Molly Ihle finished with 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. Josie Fleischmann had 15 points going 5 of 7 from 3-point range and Maggie Larson added 8 for the Bombers.
With the win, the Bombers improve to 9-1 (4-0) on the season.
The Bombers are back in action on Friday, January 10 when they travel to Perry for a Raccoon River Conference match-up. The women will tip off at 6:00 PM
