Bombers Scorch The Nets In Victory Over Bluejays
Ballard Defeats Bondurant-Farrar 67-31
The women's basketball team broke two records on Friday night with their sharp shooting in their 67-31 victory over #14 Bondurant-Farrar. Brooke Loewe hit nine 3-pointers breaking the old record of eight set in 2008 and 2016 held by Ally Jensen and Josie Fleichmann. The team also hit 16 of 29 (55%) 3-pointers on the night breaking the team record for 3-pointers made in a game. The old record was 14 held by the 2008-09 team. On the night the Bombers shot 55% from the field and forced 17 Bluejay turnovers.
Brooke Loewe finished with 33 points. She was 11 of 14 from the field including 9 of 11 from 3-point range. Molly Ihle had 12 for the Bombers to go along with 8 assists and 5 steals. Josie Fleischmann had 9 points.
With the win, the Bombers improve to 15-1 (9-0) on the season.
The Bombers are back in action on Tuesday, February 4 when they host Carlisle in a Raccoon River Conference match-up. The women will tip off at 6:00 PM.
