The Ballard women's basketball team held off a strong second half comeback by Boone to win the regional semifinal 57-39 on Saturday night in Huxley.  Josie Fleischmann led the Bombers scoring 19 points on 7 of 11 shooting including five 3-pointers.  Molly Ihle score 10 points and added six steals and four assists.  Cassisdy Thompson had 9 points and senior Rachel Wohlgemuth added 6 points off the bench for the Bombers who have won 21 straight after losing their season opener to Gilbert.

With the win, the Bombers improve to 21-1 (14-0) on the season.

The Bombers are back in action on Tuesday, February 25 when they host #12 Mason City in the regional final.  The game will tip off at 7:00 PM.
