Wildcats Use Fast Start to Defeat Bombers
#5 Carlisle Defeats Ballard 59-17
The Ballard's women's basketball team faced a tough challenge Tuesday night, falling to Class 4A No. 5 Carlisle by a final score of 59–17.
Carlisle set the tone early, jumping out to a 24–0 lead at the end of the first quarter. Ballard responded with improved play in the second quarter, scoring 10 points, but trailed 40–10 at halftime. Carlisle continued to control the tempo in the second half, outscoring Ballard 12–2 in the third quarter and 10–5 in the fourth to secure the win.
The Bombers now sit at 1–6 overall and 1–3 in conference play.
Ballard will look to bounce back on Friday, December 19, when they return home to host ADM at 6:00 PM in their final game before the winter break.
