Bowling Team Triumphs Over Panthers
Ballard Defeats Knoxville 1953-1666
The Ballard women's bowling team improved their record to a perfect 4-0 (4-0 conference) with a commanding victory over the Knoxville Panthers in a Two Rivers Conference matchup at Perfect Games. The Bombers totaled 1,953 pins to Knoxville's 1,666, showcasing both talent and consistency across the lineup. Freshman Kendall Ersland led the way with a high series of 341, including the match's top individual game of 189. Senior Piper Thompson followed with a high series of 281 and a top game of 175, while fellow senior Jenna Onstot added a high series of 268 and a top game of 154.
Knoxville's top performers included junior Brigette Renard, who recorded a high series of 267, and Nicole Schultz, who tallied a series of 247 and the Panthers' top individual game score of 141.
"Our team is showing great growth and consistency," said the Bombers' head coach Corey Vespestad. "Kendall's leadership as a freshman and the contributions from our seniors make this group special. They're putting in the work, and it's showing on the lanes."
With the win, the Bombers remain unbeaten and will look to extend their streak on Tuesday, January 14, when they travel to Bondurant-Farrar for a 3:00 PM match.
