Warriors Drop Bombers In Bowling
Norwalk Defeats Ballard 1959-1740
The Ballard women's bowling team hosted Norwalk in a Two Rivers Conference matchup at Perfect Games in Ames on Friday. Despite strong performances from senior Piper Thompson and sophomore Natalie Kahler, the Bombers came up short, losing to Norwalk with a total pin count of 1,324 to 1,206.
Norwalk's Julia Palen led the way for the Warriors, posting an impressive 306 total pins, including a high game of 163. The Bombers' Piper Thompson finished second overall with a solid 274 pins, highlighted by a high game of 160, which was one of the top scores of the night.
Other notable performances for Ballard included Natalie Kahler, who rolled a consistent 233 total pins with a high game of 132, securing the fifth spot in the overall rankings.
With the loss, Ballard's record drops to 6-3 overall and 5-3 in the Two Rivers Conference. The Bombers will look to bounce back as they head to Newton for another Two Rivers contest on Saturday, February 1.
