Ballard Women's Golf Finishes Strong on Senior Night

The Ballard women's golf team closed out its regular season in winning fashion Tuesday, posting a team score of 200 to defeat North Polk (207) and Bondurant-Farrar (216) in a season finale tri-meet hosted at home.
Before competition began, the Bombers also took time to celebrate their senior class who have helped anchor the program throughout the season.
Once play began, Ballard delivered a balanced and consistent team performance, finishing seven strokes ahead of North Polk and 16 ahead of Bondurant-Farrar to secure the victory.
Senior Maddie Baltes led the way, carding a round of 48 to pace the Bombers on her senior night. Sophomore Olivia Holsapple followed closely with a 49, while Kallie Fulkerson added a 50 to help lock in the team score.
Freshman Kendra Evans shot a 53, and Audrey Baltes rounded out the scoring with a 55 as Ballard's lineup maintained steady scoring across all counting players. Cora Bohlen also competed, finishing with a 56 in the final home meet of the season.
With the regular season now complete, Ballard turns its focus to postseason play. The Bombers will compete at the Oskaloosa Regional Golf on Wednesday, May 20, beginning at 10:00 AM.
