Technical Falls and Pins Fuel Bomber’s Win Over Lynx
Ballard Defeats Webster City 43-36
Ballard's men's wrestling team picked up a hard-fought 43–36 road win at Webster City on Thursday night, improving their record to 4–16 (2–6) on the season. The Bombers showcased depth and determination, with multiple pins and technical falls fueling the comeback.
Webster City jumped out early with back-to-back forfeits at 106 and 113, but Ballard responded quickly. Nolan Adams opened the scoring at 120 with a technical fall (19–4) over Lincoln Brookshire. Grant Fulkerson followed with a pin in 1:11 at 126, and Easton Enyeart added another quick fall at 132 in just 22 seconds.
The Lynx fought back with wins at 138 and 144, but Ballard surged in the upper weights. Carter Jeffs (150) and Landon Askelsen (157) each pinned their opponents, and Jayden Leland dominated with a 17–0 technical fall at 165. Lincoln Engleman added six points via forfeit at 175, and Greyson Ehresman earned a narrow 4–3 decision at 190 to seal the win.
Ballard will now turn their focus to the Raccoon River Conference Tournament, which they will host on Saturday, January 31 at 10:00 AM.
