The Ballard women's soccer team earned a 1-1 draw against Boone on Monday night, responding after an early deficit and holding strong through a scoreless second half.  Boone struck first in the opening half, putting the Bombers on the back foot early.  Ballard answered later in the half behind Lucia VanBergen, who found the back of the net to even the match at 1-1 heading into halftime.

The second half turned into a defensive battle, with both teams limiting opportunities and neither side able to break through for the go-ahead goal.  Ballard's defense held firm, while the offense continued to apply pressure but came up just short.

With the result, the Bombers move to 1-2-1 overall and 0-1-1 in conference play.

Ballard returns to action Thursday, May 16 with a road trip to Carroll for a 5:30 PM kickoff.
