Grundmeyer, Balanced Offense Lead Bombers Past Huskies
Ballard Defeats Winterset 5-1
The Ballard women's soccer team delivered a commanding performance on the road Tuesday night, defeating Winterset 5–1 behind a balanced and efficient offensive attack. Ballard wasted little time setting the tone, controlling possession early and consistently creating chances in the attacking third. The Bombers were rewarded with five goals from four different players, showcasing both depth and unselfish play.
Grace Grundmeyer led the charge with a pair of goals, continuing her strong form this season. She was joined on the scoresheet by Lucia VanBergen, McKenzie Dee, and Maci Harder, each contributing a goal to round out the scoring effort.
With the win, Ballard improves to 3-2-1 overall and 2-1-1 in conference play.
The Bombers return to action Friday, April 24, when they host Carlisle at 5:30 PM.
