Bombers Roll Past Tigers
Ballard Defeats Grinnell 8-1
The Ballard women's soccer team delivered a dominant performance Thursday night, powering past the Grinnell Tigers 8–1 in a regional quarterfinal at home. The win sends Ballard into the regional semifinal with momentum after one of its most complete offensive outings of the season.
After conceding an early goal in the first half to tie it 1-1, Ballard quickly seized control of the match, scoring four unanswered goals before halftime and adding three more in the second half to put the game out of reach.
The Bombers' attack was balanced and relentless, finishing with 37 total shots and 25 shots on goal while controlling possession for long stretches of the match.
Maci Harder led the way with a standout performance, scoring four goals and adding an assist to fuel the offensive surge. Grace Grundmeyer added a brace with two goals and an assist, while Alea Kinzenbaw contributed a goal and two assists in a strong all-around effort.
McKenzie Dee also found the back of the net, finishing with a goal and an assist, while Avilee Miller added a key assist in the win.

Ballard will travel to face Clear Creek Amana on Tuesday, June 2 at 7:00 PM with a trip to the regional final on the line.
