The Ballard volleyball team opened conference play in convincing fashion Thursday night, sweeping Carlisle 3-0 on the road.  The Bombers controlled the match from start to finish, winning by set scores of 25-13, 25-19, and 25-15.

Ballard set the tone early with a dominant first set, using strong serving and steady play at the net to build a quick lead.  The second set was more competitive, but the Bombers pulled away late to take a 2-0 advantage.  In the third, Ballard never let up, closing the door on the Wildcats to secure the sweep.

With the win, Ballard improves to 4-4 overall and 1-0 in conference play.

The Bombers will look to keep their momentum rolling when they return home on Tuesday, September 9, to host Boone.  Action begins at 5:30 PM.
