Bombers Sweep Tigers, Remain Unbeaten in RRC Play
Ballard Defeats ADM 3-0
The Ballard volleyball team kept its momentum rolling Tuesday night in the Hangar, defeating ADM in straight sets 25-22, 25-19, 25-23. The win improved the Bombers' record to 10-5 overall and 4-0 in Raccoon River Conference play, keeping them tied atop the league standings with Gilbert.
Ballard showed poise in each set, answering every ADM run with clutch points down the stretch. In the opening set, the Bombers closed strong to secure a 25-22 win. The second set featured Ballard's most dominant stretch of the night, as they built a comfortable lead and held on for a 25-19 victory. ADM battled hard in the third, but Ballard dug deep to finish the sweep with a 25-23 clincher.
With the victory, the Bombers continue to assert themselves as one of the top teams in the RRC, proving their ability to win tight sets against quality opponents.
Next up, the Bombers head to the Nevada Tournament on Saturday, September 27. Pool play begins at 8:30 AM, with the Bombers facing West Marshall, No. 10 Dallas Center-Grimes, and Lewis Central before heading into bracket play.
