Volleyball Wins Silver Bracket at Nevada Invite
Ballard Goes 4-2 On The Day
The Ballard volleyball team turned in a strong performance Saturday at the Nevada Invitational, winning the Silver Bracket after pool play with a 4–2 record on the day.
The Bombers opened pool play with a convincing 21–8, 21–15 win over West Marshall, then dropped back-to-back matches against #10 Dallas Center-Grimes (21–11, 21–19) and Lewis Central (13–21, 21–19, 15–13). Despite the setbacks, Ballard advanced into the Silver Bracket, where they regrouped and dominated the rest of the day.
The Bombers swept Des Moines Lincoln 21–5, 21–5, handled Lake Mills 21–12, 21–11, and closed with a solid win over Winterset 21–13, 21–16 to claim the Silver Bracket title.
With the performance, Ballard improved to 14–7 overall and remains unbeaten in conference play at 4–0.
The Bombers return to action on Tuesday, September 30, traveling to Carroll for a 5:30 PM Raccoon River Conference matchup.
